Thanks for stopping by

My name is Mike Hiscott. I'm an illustrator and graphic designer based out of Halifax, Nova Scotia. I recieved my B.A.A. in Interpretive Illustration from Sheridan College back in 2009.

For the past six or so years, I've been working in and around the games industry as a concept and production artist. My experience in the game industry had me filling a lot of different roles. Sometimes I was an artist, other times an art director. Sometimes I was a character designer, other times a UI artist. Sometimes the work was vector, other times it was painterly. Sci-fi, fantasy, and the every day.

This constant shift of jobs and styles started to appeal to me. I wanted to learn more, and tackle something with more variety. So when I found myself with the time, I decided to go back to school and take Graphic Design at NSCC. I'm now ready to get back to the working world with my new skill set, eager to take on new challenges, and see what kind of variety I can find next.

On top of that, I'm definitely a big gamer. I've had my work recognized by Platinum and Irrational Games, and some of my prop design work has shown up in Konami's 2012 title, Silent Hill Downpour.
